Bowers Accountants & Advisors is looking for highly motivated, collaborative, and results-oriented Interns who thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our Audit team for the 2027 Internship Season! Audit internships start after college students are back home. We offer flexibility for hours regarding a student's summer schedule. Bowers Accountants & Advisors is not able to accommodate any type of Sponsorship. Requirements
- Active enrollment and a major in Accounting, Business, or Finance (Junior standing or above is preferred)
- Interest in pursuing a career in public accounting
- Interested in meeting the college requirement towards CPA eligibility
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
- Familiarity and ability to learn accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality
- Become familiar with and effectively utilize software for Auditing
- Communicate status updates to managers/supervisors as needed
- Approach daily responsibilities with the Bowers’ mission and client-centric philosophy in mind.
- Learn the audit process: information gathering, client follow-up, preparation, and completion.
- Develop the ability to identify, understand, and address accounting issues.
- Strengthen written and verbal communication skills with clients and colleagues
- Participate in firm outings and activities as able.
