About The Position

The Humane Society of Broward County (HSBC), a leader in animal welfare and humane education, is hiring an Accounting Coordinator. If you are interested in applying your bookkeeping and/or accounting skills to work for a worthy cause and to make a difference in the local community, this is the job for you! The Accounting Coordinator position is responsible for processing deposits, procurement, monthly reconciliations, and other accounting functions.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of accounting software systems
  • Has a general understanding of accounting and bookkeeping concepts
  • Has a friendly/outgoing manner

Nice To Haves

  • A.S. degree in accounting or business, accounting certification, or working towards a bachelor's degree in accounting or business
