About The Position

Heritage Oaks Hospital, part of the UHS Family of Providers, is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital in northern Sacramento. It provides tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment. The hospital also has three outpatient centers providing partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

The Controller is responsible for the facility’s financial management and accounting operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, payroll, cost accounting, financial analysis, accounts payable, oversight of accounts receivable, the financial accounting close and reporting process, tax packages, vendor negotiations, bank reconciliations, and doctor billing. The role also responds to fiscal analysis and information requests from Corporate or the facility and exercises independent judgment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance required.
• 3–5 years of experience required.
• 5 years of healthcare finance experience required.
• CPR certification required.

• Master’s degree preferred.
