About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a highly engaging, customer-focused, and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join their team. This role involves ensuring the accurate reconciliation and recording of daily revenue transactions, auditing and posting AP invoices for payment processing, preparing checks with supporting documentation, and invoicing AR accounts. The ideal candidate will be open to learning, lead by example, and respond professionally to guests and team members, while also providing personal and professional support to the team. This position is part of the team at the Virginia Guesthouse, opening in April 2026, a 214-room hotel with extensive conference and event space, located on the University of Virginia grounds.

Requirements

College degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of a hotel Front Office system preferred.
Understanding of POS systems and how they maintain & process information desired.
Advanced computer skills, with a focus on accounting.
Knowledge of Excel, including but not limited to formulas, VLook-Ups, Pivot Tables and If/Then.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely recording of daily outlet totals.
Input revenues daily into revenue reports and maintain appropriate support documentation.
Balance daily credit card postings and reconcile settlements.
Ensure proper distribution of daily reports in a timely manner and that all accounting reports are properly filed.
Notify outlets when discrepancies arise.
Compare POs to Invoices and enter into AP system for payment processing after obtaining management approvals.
Prepare checks with supporting invoices for signature.
Ensure that all AR supporting documentation is accurate.
Prepare and send AR invoices for approval.
Perform all activities in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
