About The Position

We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team. Reporting to both the Accounting Manager, you will play a vital role in keeping our gears turning by supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is an ideal role for someone who loves numbers, values accuracy, and wants to grow their career within a fast-moving, innovative mountain bike brand.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role
  • High school diploma required; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks is required
  • Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal team members.
  • Consistent Accuracy in data processing
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, ensure proper coding, and prepare weekly payment runs. Reconcile vendor statements to ensure all liabilities are captured
  • Accounts Receivable: Assist with customer invoicing, posting payments, and follow up on overdue accounts with a professional, solution-oriented approach.
  • Banking & Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activity to ensure records match bank statements
  • Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll Support: Assist the Accounting Manager with semi-monthly payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee records
  • Financial Reporting: Support the transaction processing of month-end results as well as the maintenance of the general ledger and supporting sub-ledgers
  • Taxation: Prepare datasets to support the timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings in multiple jurisdictions

Benefits

  • The position is for 9 full-time days out of every 10; every second week you will have an extra day off.
  • The position assumes a Monday-Friday schedule with every second Friday off.
  • 8 hours/day with a 30-minute paid lunch break. (36h / week average), flexible hours within reason and approval.
  • You will accrue 10 paid vacation days per year to start.
  • The benchmark compensation for this role will be in the range of $55,000 - 70,000 CAD/year paid semi-monthly (dependent on experience, qualifications, industry experience and the interview).
  • In addition, there is an annual performance-based Short Term Incentive Plan (STIP) & access to our fully funded comprehensive group benefits/insurance.
