About The Position

This position supports the overall mission to provide high-quality healthcare and support to operational forces at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii Shipyard Clinic. This is a contract role for 8-koi, a diverse Florida-based service and consulting company with over 20 years of experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED certification
Experience in using basic software applications, e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel
Physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation.
Certifications (in addition to Basic Life Support)
Current Immunizations (including annual vaccinations)
Physical Examinations
Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Test
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of accounting policies and procedures.
Knowledge of electronic health records and electronic billing systems.
Knowledge of claims, posting of payments, Other Health Insurance (OHI), batch print, Medical Service Accounts (MSA), DD7's, Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC), Centralized Receivables Service accounts.

Responsibilities

Perform verification of health insurance (OHI) information, utilizing medical and billing programs and providing customer support.
Examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data.
Prepare and analyze reports.
Process account maintenance and accounting support work using electronic health records and electronic billing systems.
Handle claims, posting of payments, Other Health Insurance (OHI), batch print, Medical Service Accounts (MSA), DD7's, Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC), and Centralized Receivables Service accounts.
Coordinate completion of initial, remedial, and annual training for personnel providing services in the UBO office.
Assign tasks and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
Coordinate time off and sick leave requests from staff.
Notify government oversight of any concerns regarding time off or sick leave.
Read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills.
