About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Accounting Clerk I in Las Vegas, Nevada. This entry-level role performs routine accounting clerical operations in support of the finance department’s daily functions. The position works in a standard office environment and does not require travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail and basic numerical literacy.
• Prior professional accounting experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and verify accounting documents for accuracy.
• Identify errors and correct data entries according to standard procedures.
• Perform entry-level reconciliation tasks under direct supervisor guidance.
• Post recurring financial transactions into the accounting system.
• Verify mathematical accuracy and escalate variances to management.
• Ensure completed work adheres to internal controls.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
