About The Position

This is a high-ownership, individual contributor role built for a bookkeeping professional who is equally comfortable closing the books and sitting at the leadership table. As a financial backbone, you will own the full spectrum of financial operations, from day-to-day accounting precision to strategic reporting that informs business decisions at the executive level. You will be the single source of financial truth for a growing, fast-paced healthcare services company operating across U.S. based accounts. This role is ideal for someone who thrives with autonomy, communicates complex financial data with clarity, and understands that in a 65-person company, every number you produce has direct business impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with demonstrated Controller or senior finance experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel — financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks for full-cycle accounting operations.
  • Solid knowledge of billing processes, tax principles, U.S. GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish — written and verbal, at a professional level.
  • Exceptional attention to detail combined with the ability to see the bigger strategic picture.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines without supervision.
  • Experience working with or within U.S.-based companies from a remote, international setup.
  • Familiarity with healthcare services, staffing, or professional services business models.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute all day-to-day financial operations including transaction processing, payroll updates, billing adjustments, and month-end close.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks and ensure integrity across all entries.
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and customer collections.
  • Perform account reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, reimbursements, and general ledger.
  • Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly closing procedures in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Own balance sheet preparation, P&L management, and financial reporting integrity.
  • Support financial audits and ensure documentation meets compliance requirements.
  • Establish and enforce internal controls that scale with the business.
  • Manage multi-currency transactions and ensure accuracy across international operations.
  • Build and maintain executive-level financial dashboards and reporting packages for the General Manager.
  • Deliver client and account-level revenue analysis, profitability tracking, and ROI reporting.
  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic decisions — not just report what happened, but explain why and what's next.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across GSD's client portfolio and surface them proactively.
  • Serve as the financial communication bridge between operations, leadership, and clients where applicable.
  • Prepare clear financial narratives and reports for internal stakeholders — making numbers accessible and meaningful to non-finance audiences.
  • Partner with the General Manager on business planning, growth initiatives, and operational decisions that have financial implications.
  • Support cross-functional alignment by ensuring teams understand financial performance, targets, and constraints.

Benefits

  • Remote-first environment with a results-oriented, collaborative team culture.
  • Growth path — as GSD scales, this role scales with it.
  • A culture built on results, integrity, ownership, and getting things done.
