Accounting Associate, Client Accounting & Advisory Services
About The Position
Aprio Advisory Group, LLC is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for an Accounting Associate to join their dynamic team within the Restaurant, Franchise, & Hospitality Client Accounting Services (CAS) team. This role will help clients maximize their opportunities by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, updating bank accounts, importing transactions, coding transactions, and reaching out to senior accountants for open items. The associate may also be responsible for accounts receivable tasks, matching transactions, entering journal entries, reconciling accounts, updating working papers, and posting entries during closing periods. A self-review of work is also expected.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field
- At least 1 year of working experience in the accounting industry preferred
Nice To Haves
- A licensed CPA is an advantage
- Can communicate clearly and effectively
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping tasks of the clients that have been assigned to the team.
- Update of the bank accounts via online feed.
- Import of the bank/cc transactions via manual feed.
- Coding of bank and cc transactions.
- Reach out to the senior accountant/TL for any open items to be sent to the PM.
- On a case-to-case basis, the Accounting Associate is also responsible for entering customer deposits, application of payments, and any other AR related tasks to be assigned by the PM to the team.
- Depending on the payroll schedule, the Accounting Associate matches the transaction or enters the appropriate JE bases on the reports provided.
- During the closing period, the Accounting Associate is responsible for the reconciliation page in any accounting software, updating the working paper, and posting the entries in the books.
