About The Position

Wiss is seeking to add a Manager to its Client Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) team with a multi-family office concentration. Wiss's fully integrated Family Office strategy provides a diverse array of service offerings to support high/ultra-high net worth clients. This position will reside in our Florham Park, NJ office with hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting and/or family office or high net worth client support
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and leading engagements.
  • Demonstrated ability to review complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing team members.
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and clients.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Sage Intacct, Basis, Rillet or other AI-based Accounting programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and client service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day financial operations for high net worth individual and entity clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, delivering high-touch service and building long-term relationships.
  • Review and approve bill payments, check runs, and wire transfers, maintaining strong internal controls and cash management practices.
  • Supervise the preparation and review of bank, brokerage, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Manage and review household and business payroll processing.
  • Oversee maintenance of books and records for individuals and related entities, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Review financial statements, journal entries, and month-end close processes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze financial results and provide insights to clients, including variance analysis and recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor staff and senior accountants, including reviewing work, providing feedback, and supporting professional development.
  • Coordinate and manage client deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple engagements.
  • Oversee expense reporting processes and ensure proper documentation and controls.
  • Drive process improvements and implement efficiencies across workflows and systems.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, special projects, and client onboarding.
