About The Position

Aprio is seeking a dynamic Manager to join their Technology Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team. This role is designed for a builder who will operate at the intersection of finance, technology, and client advisory. The Manager will leverage AI-native tools to deliver financials efficiently and develop scalable templates, models, and processes. This dual-role position involves delivering services within an AI-enabled startup pod and supporting complex client projects. The Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Technology CAAS, with a dotted-line into the startup pod. The role blends hands-on delivery with capability-building, using AI tools to deliver board-ready financials with a light touch in the startup pod, and providing strategic finance and FP&A capabilities for complex clients on the project side. The Manager will also create reusable assets for the broader group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5 - 7+ years of progressive finance and/or accounting experience, ideally including FP&A, financial modeling, or CFO/finance advisory in a client-service, outsourced, or high-growth environment.
  • Experience with technology, SaaS, e-commerce, or venture-backed startups strongly preferred; comfort supporting companies from $0–$100M in revenue.
  • Strong FP&A and modeling skills (budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, scenario analysis); working knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition concepts.
  • Advanced Excel; experience with modern finance/accounting platforms (e.g., QBO, Xero, NetSuite, Rillet) and a genuine appetite for AI-native tools and automation.
  • Business acumen and relationship skills to engage founders and leadership - proactive advisory over transactional compliance.
  • Clear, professional communicator able to partner with US client leads, offshore teams, and external advisors.

  • CPA, CMA, CGMA, or MBA preferred

  • Translates financial results into clear narratives - highlighting cash flow, runway, unit economics, and working capital - for founders, leadership teams, and boards.

  • Supports the Senior Manager, Technology CAAS on one-time and complex client projects - cash-to-accrual conversions, GAAP clean-up, M&A / QoE readiness, and process build-outs.
  • Coordinates across US client leads, offshore accounting teams, and external advisors (tax, legal, transaction) to keep deliverables on track and accountable.
  • Uses available capacity to create reusable templates, models, SOPs, and dashboards that the broader Technology CAAS group can leverage across clients.
  • Identifies opportunities to deepen existing relationships - surfacing advisory add-ons and expansion work that arise naturally from delivery, and partnering with client leads to pursue them.
  • Builds a professional network over time and represents Aprio thoughtfully in the market, participating in relevant industry or community events and contributing to the firm’s reputation in the technology and startup finance space.
  • Contributes to proposals, scoping, and pursuits by preparing models and materials, with a growing role in originating and expanding work as experience and relationships develop.
  • Coaches and develops team members, sharing FP&A, modeling, and AI-tool best practices to raise capability across the pod and group.
  • Contributes to SOPs, playbooks, and workflow blueprints (e.g., Wrike) that standardize how recurring and add-on services are delivered.
