About The Position

The Accounting Associate will support the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department, focusing primarily on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Cash Applications. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting timely close processes, and ensuring efficient transaction processing within a fast-paced, high-volume industrial environment.

Requirements

  • Accounting, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivots preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting AP, AR, or cash applications.
  • Exposure to high-volume transaction processing.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts (3-way matching).
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
  • Assist with payment processing, including checks, ACH, and wire payments.
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure proper documentation and approvals.
  • Generate and post customer invoices in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collections activities as needed.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
  • Support month-end AR close activities and reconciliations.
