Requirements

3+ years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting
Proficiency in ERP software, with expertise in Xero is a plus.
Experience with Public Accounting or tech/high growth disruptive companies.
Detail-oriented, hyper-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to distill complex financial information to business users.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and interpret financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements (P&L).
Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
Advanced data analysis skills using Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data lookups.

Nice To Haves

CPA certification.
Familiarity with SQL and Business Intelligence (BI) tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
Take the lead in transitioning and assuming responsibility for month-end and year-end close processes, collaborating closely with the Controller to significantly reduce the time required to close the books.
Assist with the preparation of external materials for Tax and Audit and liaise with external parties as needed.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers of financial performance.
Assist in the development of KPIs and maintenance of financial models and forecasts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monitor and track budget performance against actual results, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager to provide financial insights and analysis for strategic decision-making.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies to improve overall financial performance.
Engage in a wide range of special projects, including financial modeling and in-depth business analysis, as needed to support the dynamic demands of our business
You’ll be comfortable in a remote environment where there’s lots of change.
You’ll be working from home, but will connect with your crewmates throughout the day over chat, voice, and video through company-provided equipment. Quarterly in-person meetings at varied locations.
