As we expand, we're looking for an individual who is driven to learn and highly motivated, for the role of Accounting Associate serving as an integral part of the Corporate Finance team. The ideal candidate will have basic accounting skills, accounts payable experience, accuracy, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Solid written and oral communication skills and analytical problem solving
  • Sound and consistent business judgment, a good grasp of Company priorities and a sense of urgency
  • High level of enthusiasm, a positive attitude, the ability to remain flexible to meet internal and external needs
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in an accounting discipline or business environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • An associate’s degree in accounting, finance, and 1 year of relevant experience
  • Experience in government contracting

Responsibilities

  • Review, match, and voucher all vendor invoices with appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Resolve price/quantity variances to ensure all invoices and purchase orders are properly accounted
  • Assist in processing corporate cards. Code, approve/close, data mapping
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries in timely fashion
  • Assist in generating invoices to be sent directly to the customers and ensuring accuracy and completeness of billing data
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
  • Collaborate with other departments including supply chain and government compliance to ensure that all matters are handled timely and adhere to procedures
  • Post reclasses in assistance with account/project reconciliation and government compliance
  • Assist the month end close process
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Assist with various tasks and projects as needed
