Accounting Associate - Accounts Payable

This role involves processing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, reconciling vendor statements, and maintaining accurate accounts payable records. You will also communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve inquiries, assist with month-end closing procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies. Additionally, you will support the finance team with administrative tasks and projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure all payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any billing or payment inquiries.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparing reports and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding accounts payable.
- Support the finance team with various administrative tasks and projects as needed.
