Temporary Accounting Assistant

About The Position

This is a temporary role to assist the accounting department with various tasks. The Accounting Assistant will support the team in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with daily accounting operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specific accounting software used by the company.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Process invoices and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Maintain financial filing systems.
  • Provide support for audits.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
