Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate program in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Interest in financial reporting, corporate finance, or business analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Coursework or internship experience involving accounting principles, financial analysis, or business reporting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Completion of at least two years of college-level coursework in accounting, finance, or a related program.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must complete required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must pass vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing financial reports.
  • Analyze budget and expense data.
  • Support general accounting activities.
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Review transactions.
  • Support month-end close processes.
  • Assist with documentation for internal reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members across finance, accounting, and other departments to understand how financial information supports operational decisions.
  • Present key contributions, insights, and lessons learned to the team at the end of the internship.
