Accounting Analyst - AP - Nucor Towers & Structures
About The Position
Nucor Towers & Structures Inc., a Nucor division based in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support accounts payable and related accounting activities. The position processes high-volume vendor invoices, matches invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation, reconciles vendor statements, responds to vendor payment inquiries, and assists with month-end close and miscellaneous financial projects. The analyst maintains accurate accounts payable records, supports compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements, and contributes to ongoing process improvement. Safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards must be upheld at all times.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to demonstrate commitment to safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in manufacturing or purchase-order-driven environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation using three-way matching, and investigate discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and investigate variances.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status.
- Assist with miscellaneous financial projects as needed.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records.
- Support continuous improvement of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
