About The Position

At Regions, the Accounting Analyst prepares accurate and timely financial reporting, including special requests and monthly and quarterly reports, and contributes value through ongoing process improvement. This position supports accounting and reporting for various capital markets businesses. It is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future, with regular work hours that include full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager sets the work schedule and in-office expectations. The position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. The role is exempt from Fair Labor Standards Act timekeeping requirements and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a directly related field.
Ability to research, analyze data, and drive appropriate solutions.
Ability to work under direct guidance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and self-motivation.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Regions will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Nice To Haves

Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or master's degree in finance.
Experience within the financial services industry.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing detailed reports and presentations for review by all levels of management.
Contribute to process improvements and occasionally make recommendations.
Research and respond to technical accounting inquiries from business partners.
Analyze and resolve problems using prescribed guidelines or policies.
Complete ad-hoc reporting and other special projects as they arise.
