About The Position

The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting the company’s financial accuracy, reporting, and analysis by performing detailed accounting work, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data. This role plays a key part in month-end close, cost tracking, and operational financial support, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights for decision-making. The Accounting Analyst partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership to monitor costs, identify variances, and improve financial processes in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems; Paycom exposure a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing or cost accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare and post journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Analyze financial results and identify variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership.
  • Provide insights into cost drivers, trends, and operational performance.
  • Support forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Partner with Operations to track and analyze production costs, labor, and overhead.
  • Monitor inventory valuation, usage, and variances.
  • Investigate discrepancies related to production, materials, or inventory.
  • Support cost improvement initiatives and margin analysis.
  • Reconcile inventory accounts and support cycle count and audit processes.
  • Ensure proper accounting treatment of inventory transactions.
  • Partner with Warehouse and Operations to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of financial controls.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and automation in accounting processes.
  • Support system enhancements and reporting improvements (ERP, Excel-based tools, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain documentation for accounting procedures.
  • Work with HR (Paycom), Operations, and Supply Chain to validate financial data.
  • Support analysis related to labor costs, benefits, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate financial insights in a clear and actionable manner.
