About The Position

This position is responsible for the coordination and performance of a wide range of accounting and financial functions for Catholic Charities programs. The Accounting Analyst will primarily coordinate and perform various monthly accounting operations including GL account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and monthly journal entries. This role also involves backing up and assisting Accounts Payable, maintaining the P-Card platform, monitoring prepaid expenses, reconciling monthly clearing accounts, processing unclaimed property, assisting with the annual budget process, managing fixed assets and vehicle tracking, tracking leases, entering AR invoices, overseeing mail and check/cash logs, and assisting with annual audit preparations and other finance department activities. Additionally, the role requires adherence to HIPAA regulations for client protected health information and utilizing various communication methods and database practices. The position also requires adherence to Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine, and performing related functions to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting and strong knowledge of General Ledger.
  • Successfully pass background check applicable to position.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and performing various monthly accounting operations including GL account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
  • Backing up and assisting Accounts Payable with annual process and submission and ensuring maintenance of vendor accounts.
  • Backing up and assisting with maintaining the P-Card platform and collection of documentation and coding as necessary.
  • Monitoring and tracking prepaid expenses.
  • Reconciling monthly clearing account for housing transactions.
  • Processing and tracking unclaimed property and submission.
  • Assisting with annual budget process and programs support as needed.
  • Managing fixed assets and vehicle tracking.
  • Tracking and maintaining tracking of all leases.
  • AR invoice entry into general ledger.
  • Oversight of CCFSC mail to department and check and cash log.
  • Assisting with the preparations for the annual audit and other finance department activities as required.
  • Using appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
  • Regularly utilizing all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
  • Adhering to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
  • Performing related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.
