About The Position

As part of Alimentation Couche-Tard's Operational Accounting team, the Reconciliation Accounting Analyst will provide accounting support services to the stores under his/her responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Ability to manage multiple files
• Be meticulous, autonomous, show initiative and have a good analytical mind
• Ability to manage priorities while meeting deadlines
• Interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for customer service
• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PDI software will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of the ReconNet application will be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts related to payment methods accepted in store (Cash deposits, Debit/Credit Cards, Oil Debit/Credit Cards, Oil Promotions & Discount Coupons, Prepaid Cards & Gift Cards)
• Book GL entries for payment discrepancies (short & over)
• Responsible for explaining and justifying the various discrepancies related to the payment methods appearing on the periodic billing of certain stores.
• Book entries for bank deposits, bank fees, card fees and equipment fees and bank chargebacks
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the processes used in the position.
• Provide support to store managers and coordinators as well as the accounting team.
• Recommend and participate in the implementation of measures to improve and optimize processes and controls
