About The Position

The Accounting Analyst - Manufacturing role is responsible for the cost accounting and general ledger functions for assigned manufacturing plants. This position serves as the liaison between the plants and the HQ finance organization for cost controlling and financial reporting. The company is seeking qualified candidates and is only considering local applicants residing within a commutable distance to St. Louis, MO. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing cost accounting required
Ability to work independently to successfully complete assignments
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Must reside within a commutable distance to St. Louis, MO
Legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not provided.

Nice To Haves

R3 SAP experience in FI and CO is highly desired
SOX audit experience a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare plant financial budgeting/forecasting reports
Perform monthly closing and variance analysis
Ensure consistency between plants for cost expense categorization
Issue monthly financial KPI’s for plant cost controlling
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations
Develop product cost standards
Prepare financial data for internal/external auditors
Support SOX controls for areas of responsibility
Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
