About The Position

We are partnering with a client in Amesbury, MA seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Admin / Accounts Payable professional to support the team during a maternity leave coverage assignment. This is a part-time opportunity with flexible scheduling, working approximately 3 days per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after 6 months for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Previous accounting or accounts payable experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems preferred
  • Reliable and professional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain vendor accounts and records
  • Process accounts payable transactions including expense accruals, wire transfer reconciliations, and check issuance
  • Support inventory receiving processes and related accounting entries
  • Prepare audit support documentation for external auditors and parent company reviews
  • Assist with additional accounting tasks and special projects as needed
