About The Position

Virginia Western Community College is seeking part-time Accounting Adjunct Faculty to teach college-level courses. These positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. The faculty will teach in-person on the main Virginia Western campus, as well as distance learning/online courses. Courses include Principles and Intermediate Accounting, Payroll and Computerized Accounting, as well as Taxation. Faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in trends in community college education, and to be active participants in departmental communication.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Accounting.
• Experience teaching accounting at the community college or university level is preferred.
