About The Position

Reconciling, closing ADOT projects to ensure timely release of funds, ensuring compliance with both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rules and regulations, analyzing and validating costs associated with project funding and interacting with federal agencies, local governments and multiple ADOT departments. Additional responsibilities include researching project issues, providing solutions and making recommendations for process improvement as well as processing adjustments and preparing final voucher forms for submissions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field.
• 1 year of accounting experience.
• Strong analytical skills in researching and resolving financial and technical data issues.
• Analyze and interpret contract and financial data.
• Apply Accounting and Auditing principles to project analysis.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Microsoft Excel.
• Resumes must specify the current location of the candidate.
• Candidates must be local at time of submission.
• Candidates must be available for in person interviews within 1 week of the posting close date.
• Candidates must be able to start within 2 weeks of an offer being made.
