About The Position

Our client, a Tax and Accounting firm with their Head Office in the Western Cape, requires a professional self-managed certified accountant with an excellent track record to manage part of their diverse portfolio of clients. This is a remote position for a SAIPA registered professional with a minimum of 6 years of experience in multiple industries. Afrikaans and English are essential, with Afrikaans as a first language being advantageous.

Requirements

• Registered tax practitioner – SAIPA qualified
• 6+ years tax and accounting experience in an accounting or audit firm
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Afrikaans
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Accounting software
• Solid knowledge of IAS, IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act, and tax regulations including VAT, PAYE and SARS processes
• Confident in client interaction and third-party communication
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Target driven reliable independent self-starter

Nice To Haves

• 1st language Afrikaans advantageous

Responsibilities

• Process financial data for various company entities
• Prepare and review tax calculations and returns
• Communicate with clients regarding tax matters and deadlines
• Compile management accounts and annual financial statements
• Prepare financial reports and supporting working papers
• Submit tax returns, reconciliations and related documents
• Handle client queries on tax, bookkeeping and financial statements
• Manage income requirements, provisional, VAT and payroll
• Liaise with SARS with all queries or disputes
• Perform additional duties to meet revenue targets
