About The Position

The Junior Accountant will support the team in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role includes bookkeeping, financial statement reporting, VAT and Corporate Tax.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience (fresh graduates with internship experience are welcome).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the accounting records for 17 client accounts.
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting for each client.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine financial queries from assigned clients.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with each client’s financial and tax obligations.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in variance analysis and preparation of supporting schedules.
  • Prepare VAT workings and ensure compliance with VAT laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the timely submission of VAT returns and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Monitor VAT reconciliations and highlight discrepancies for resolution.
  • Assist in gathering and organizing data for Corporate Tax filings.
  • Support preparation of corporate tax computations and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE CT regulations and assist with audits/queries.
  • Provide financial and administrative support for ad-hoc projects and process improvements.
  • Assist in system implementation, automation initiatives, and other finance-related projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project deliverables.
  • Work with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of services to clients and ensure that clients & expectations are met.
