About The Position

Caterpillar is hiring an Accountant to support strategic footprint decision-making for its LPSD Drivetrain product team. The role partners with NSI teams and colleagues in engineering, procurement, and operations to develop business insights and advise management on footprint-related decisions. The Accountant uses discounted cash flow analysis to support strategic decisions and communicates recommendations to leadership. The role also supports Enterprise Component Strategy reporting and manages investment requirements for footprint projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
At least 5 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of financial analysis tools and approaches, including the ability to interpret financial and numerical information and draw accurate conclusions.
Analytical thinking skills, including the ability to identify root causes and develop alternative solutions.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities and prioritize time effectively.
Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to complete tasks precisely.

Nice To Haves

Experience with EPC and cost reporting tools.
Proven history of business partnering.
Experience with discounted cash flow (DCF) and complex financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Complete enterprise discounted cash flow analysis for Drivetrain footprint projects in accordance with Corporate guidelines.
Present and communicate footprint results to Drivetrain leadership and business partners.
Lead investment forecasting and reporting related to footprint and localization projects.
Support product cost reporting, identify cost opportunities, and support cost initiatives.
