About The Position

The Brick is currently seeking an Accountant who possesses a combination of accounting and analytical experience with several years of experience and a demonstrated record of performance to join our dynamic team. The accountant partners closely with the Controller to ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of the financial records, and to support the preparation, analysis and delivery of accurate and timely financial reports. In addition, this person must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. The right candidate must be curious minded, detail oriented, demonstrate good communication skills and be committed to success.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting experience with focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards.
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Oracle (Fusion) experience or similar ERP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities including preparing journal entries, account variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements.
• Asist with vendor setup and maintenance.
• Support the maintenance and enhancement of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Liaise with operational and other corporate departments.
• Assist with interim and yearend audits.
