The West Haven Community House is seeking to hire a passionate Full-time Accountant to support the financial strength of our agency programs. The Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the agency through accurate accounting, financial reporting, grant tracking, and regulatory compliance, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close functions. The Accountant monitors restricted and unrestricted funding, prepares financial statements and cash flow reports, assists with budgeting and audits, and ensures compliance with GAAP, grant requirements, and federal and state regulations. This role works collaboratively with leadership and program staff to maintain strong internal controls, support financial decision-making, and uphold the organization’s financial integrity. The core responsibilities are fiscal management, compliance, and strategic support.
