About The Position
Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. Part of the Manatee Healthcare System, the hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. Services include cardiac care and cardiovascular medicine, emergency care for all ages, surgery services — including robotic-assisted surgery with the da Vinci® Surgical System, a weight–loss program, orthopedic services, outpatient and inpatient radiology and rehabilitation, respiratory care, sleep, oncology, wound care and women’s and children’s services. Manatee Memorial Hospital also offers a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for babies with special needs.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of AP or accounting experience in a corporate setting
- AA or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of AP processes, internal controls, and SOX compliance
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Clear and professional communication skills; comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and with external vendors
- Advanced Excel/MS Office skills are must

- Healthcare industry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Audit invoice for accuracy and proper coding; ensure internal approvals are obtained
- Maintain accurate vendor records
- Assist with general ledger support, including journal entries and reconciliations (e.g., cash accruals, prepaids, Fixed Asset, Depreciation)
- Contribute to month-end close activities and assist with internal and external audits
- Support adherence to internal controls and SOX compliance procedures
- Work independently, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Assist with other general accounting and reporting tasks as needed
