About The Position

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for general accounting tasks including reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies, and reviewing general ledger accounts. Additional responsibilities include month-end close functions such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis. Duties/Responsibilities Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices to payment; including coding invoices, matching purchase orders, obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system. Maintain all vendor invoices electronically including W-9s Process employee expense reports, including verification of receipts and coding. Prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions. Reconcile monthly banking transactions Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of the general ledger by preparing accounting related journal entries Perform month-end closing procedures, including recording journal entries and preparing account reconciliations Assist with preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules and analyzing data Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts Create new processes to improve financial efficiency Calculate sales commissions and distribute payment on a monthly basis Assist with the preparation for and the completion of the annual compilation Assist with accounts receivable tasks as necessary Prepare ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Skills/Abilities Solid knowledge of accounting and financial processes Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software. Advanced Excel skills required Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task Strong verbal and written communication skills Self-starter, fast learner, detail and deadline-oriented Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of accounting and financial processes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter, fast learner, detail and deadline-oriented
  • Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience preferred
