About The Position

Our client is a payment service provider specializing in offering a variety of solutions such as open banking payments, alternative payment methods, card payments, card payouts, mobile commerce payments, e-wallets, and vouchers. Catering primarily to businesses in high-growth and high-risk industries like e-commerce, iGaming, and fintech, the company ensures secure and efficient digital asset transfers. They provide streamlined APIs, SDKs, and no-code integration options for full-scale payment systems implementation. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations in a fully remote setup. This position offers the opportunity to work with multi-currency transactions and payroll operations, providing a unique chance to gain in-depth experience in the fintech environment. Your expertise will directly support the company’s financial planning and compliance efforts, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations across various jurisdictions.

Requirements

Strong accounting knowledge with a solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP, statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Hands-on experience with accounting platforms like QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
Experience with multi-currency accounting, FX transactions, and crypto payments.
Experience working with auditors, tax compliance, and financial risk monitoring.
Ability to maintain accounting records and drive process improvements.
Languages: English B2, Russian C1.
Experience in fintech.

Responsibilities

Manage payroll operations for over 50 contractors across multiple currencies, including FX conversions and crypto payroll processing.
Handle invoice validation, vendor management, and provider fee reconciliation while maintaining accurate accounting records.
Conduct reconciliations, month-end closing activities, and prepare essential financial reports like P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
Support budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and perform budget versus actual analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities.
Ensure accounting compliance and support VAT/tax processes while coordinating with auditors and external accountants.
Drive accounting process improvements, maintain documentation and audit trails, and strengthen financial controls.
