Requirements

  • High School Diploma required with 2+ years hands-on experience in equipment assembly/testing.
  • Familiarity with CAD viewers/PLM systems and ERP tools; SAP experience a plus.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude with assembly/disassembly and troubleshooting across mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, plumbing schematics, and BOMs.
  • Skilled with common hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and instrumentation.
  • Comfortable with fluid handling components (valves, Swagelok fittings); basic electrical/system knowledge helpful.
  • Organized, detail-focused approach to data collection and communication.
  • Experienced in fast-paced, high-mix engineering environments; adept team collaborator.
  • Comfortability working with equipment that previously processed chemicals in accordance with established procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certificate in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering Technology preferred.
  • equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and validate sub-systems and tools per engineering drawings, schematics, and design requirements.
  • Execute bench and system-level tests, collect data, and identify issues; collaborate with engineers to resolve mechanical, electrical, or fluid-related problems.
  • Support prototype builds, engineering evaluations, and design verification—preparing hardware, fixtures, and test setups to meet aggressive NPI timelines.
  • Document build notes, test outcomes, and any deviations clearly for engineering reviews and future standard work improvements.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and releasing engineering documentation (BOMs, ECO updates, and work instructions).
  • Coordinate with supply chain and manufacturing to secure materials and maintain project flow.
  • Operate lab and shop tools safely in compliance with procedural, cleanroom, and chemical handling protocols.
  • Occasionally travel to customer or supplier sites to assist with builds, installations, or troubleshooting.
