About The Position

The Accountant performs general accounting, cash management, and decision-support activities to support the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of Trinity Health. This role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliation in accordance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and established accounting standards. Working collaboratively with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, the Accountant contributes to informed decision-making, regulatory compliance, and responsible financial stewardship. This position plays an important role within a structured, team-oriented environment that values accuracy, consistency, and shared accountability in supporting the organization’s financial operations.

Requirements

• Five years of related experience required.
• Computer and ten-key skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Five years of healthcare-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support cash management activities by monitoring cash balances, processing transactions, and assisting with cash flow analysis.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, schedules, and variance analyses to support management decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial information, resolve discrepancies, and support budgetary and operational needs.
• Assist with audits, compliance activities, and special financial projects as assigned.
