About The Position

The Accountant is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting all financial aspects of the crop grower program, as well as supporting general accounting functions. This role ensures accurate costing, timely grower settlements, and strong financial controls across the production cycle. The position works closely with operations, procurement, and field teams to maintain data integrity and support informed decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience with ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, modeling).
High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and support multiple manufacturing or field locations.

Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

Manages the full grower accounting cycle, including seed issuance, seed purchasing, crop settlements, and contract compliance.
Maintains accurate seed inventory records and oversees the issuance and reconciliation of seed to growers.
Calculates, validates, and processes grower payments, ensuring all deductions, premiums, and adjustments align with contractual terms.
Ensures grower contracts are accurately established and maintained within the Grower System.
Collaborates with plant, field, and procurement personnel to verify grower payment accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Monitors grower related costs and provides periodic reporting to support operational and financial planning.
Enters and validates “C” transactions for purchase price, freight, and landed cost to ensure accurate actual costing within the ERP/BPCS system.
Supports internal and external audit requests related to grower accounting.
Provides financial insights and analysis to non-financial teams to support operational decision making.
Performs additional duties as assigned to support finance, operations, and budgeting functions.
