About The Position

We’re looking for an Experienced Accountant to work in a positive team environment with an established company of 64 years with 33 locations throughout Western United States. This position is based at our Headquarters in Anaheim, CA. This is a full-time in-office position. The accountant position is responsible for ensuring transactions are posted correctly to the general ledger. The position requires an understanding of business cycles, strong communication and analytical skills, and proficiency in Excel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Complete understanding of accounting from PO to G/L.
  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite or programs or related software.
  • Excellent Supervisory and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, with 2-3 years of accounting experience.
  • CPA certification preferred, must be in process of getting CPA if candidate does not have CPA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger and financial records.
  • Enter day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Produce financial statements and reports for management or external use.
  • Assist with tax compliance, filings, and coordination with auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards.
  • Process monthly and quarterly tax bills and licenses on agency sites.
