ITA is seeking an Accountant to join our team in a hybrid position at our Headquarters in Newport News, VA.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of proven accounting experience
  • Accounting experience within government contracting highly desired
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to demonstrate high level of professionalism with a variety of management levels
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in all MS Office Tools, with an ability to learn emerging technologies at a rapid pace
  • Collaborates effectively across functional groups to support a positive employee experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements with professionalism and composure

Responsibilities

  • Perform Accounts Payable (AP) functions, including invoice processing, vendor communications, and payment tracking
  • Support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and assisting with collections efforts
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Enter and maintain financial data in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Accounting team, including reporting, research, and compliance tracking
  • Support audits and financial reviews as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
