About The Position

Provide project cost information and project economic benefit analysis to aid management in the decision-making process. This role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, journals, rate case schedules, and budget forecasts. It also includes planning, performing, and leading complex audits and special projects, as well as coordinating, consolidating, reporting, and preparing analysis of the capital budget to support management decisions. The position also involves developing performance measures to assist management in business decisions.

Requirements

• Master/Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 7-9 years related work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of the functions of the accounting organizations such as Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Payroll, Budget, Tax, Plant and Construction Accounting.
• Knowledge of the related accounting systems and budgeting process.
• Must be able to utilize knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, company policies and other information as they apply to the utility industry to provide relevant and reliable reports and information for management inside and outside the accounting organization.
• Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, mainframe applications, and other office equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Certification desirable.
