Requirements

• Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy or bachelor's degree with successful completion of at least 15 credit hours of Accounting (ACCT) course work.
• Three (3) years of professional experience directly related to the job duties and responsibilities as outlined.

Responsibilities

• Performs compliance monitoring, expenditure transactional review, administration of sponsored awards collections and monthly/fiscal year end receivable analysis.
• Ensures letter of credit (LOC) federal agency electronic payment systems for our awards are in balance with Banner budgets.
• Ensures timely and accurate submission of quarterly financial reports.
• Ensures timely submission of the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act (FFATA) Sub award Reporting System of subcontracts.
• Responsible for timely financial sponsored award closeout and property closeouts.
• Administers month end cost share close process.
• Responsible for restricted awards document management/destruction of expired awards per State of New Mexico guidelines.
