About The Position

The Staff Accountant II, Corporate Accounting, will be responsible for corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal control activities. This role will work closely with various departments, including Global Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Legal, and Tax. A high attention to detail and a strong desire to improve processes and controls are essential. The role requires learning and implementing new technologies such as Blackline, Workiva, Hyperion, and Oracle Cloud Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
  • 2+ years of accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Ability to prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Understanding of internal and external audit processes.
  • Familiarity with global chart of accounts and legal entity structure within an ERP system.
  • Ability to perform variance analysis.

  • Additional education preferred (MBA)

Responsibilities

  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including review of transactions and account balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze period-over-period fluctuations in material accounts and provide clear, supportable explanations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and operations) to resolve accounting issues and support financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal accounting policies, and regulatory requirements; maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and fulfilling audit requests.
  • Track and maintain fixed asset records, including monitoring construction-in-progress, and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve recurring issues in accounting processes (including cash and inventory).
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy, including leveraging financial systems and tools (e.g., Blackline, Workiva, ERP systems) to automate workflows.
  • Provide accounting guidance and support to business partners and respond to accounting and financial inquiries with well-researched analysis.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned (up to 20% of the role).
