Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, is required
  • Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and specialized utility accounting principles.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with financial and accounting software.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to interpret data and explain financial information.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations from bodies like the SEC and FERC/NARUC

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: CPA or CMA certification is preferred
  • SAP S/4 Hana and PowerPlan would be a benefit
  • ability to analyze financial data, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support decision-making and rate cases.
