About The Position

The International & Channel Development Accounting team supports Starbucks global business through accounting operational support, financial analysis, billing, royalty accounting, reconciliations, financial controls, and compliance activities. The team partners closely with international markets, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting while helping drive process improvements that support a growing and evolving business. Role focus: Accurately account for assigned International and Channel Development activities, support close and reporting, strengthen controls, and help drive scalable process improvements through effective business partnership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
  • Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with business partners and collaborate across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems, BlackLine, Oracle, or similar accounting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute accounting activities and financial analysis to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation in accordance with Starbucks accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.
  • Support billing, royalty accounting, and other operational accounting processes for International and Channel Development business activities.
  • Partner with international finance teams and cross-functional stakeholders to resolve accounting questions and support business initiatives.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including variance analysis and audit support.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and support business growth.
  • Support the execution of key financial controls and compliance requirements while maintaining high-quality documentation
