The Staff Accountant, International role will assist the US-based Manager and the subsidiary accounting team based in Australia with accounting entries, US GAAP consolidation, month-end close (including reconciliations) and US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments. This role will also assist with researching/understanding reporting requirements when the business is expanding into new international markets. Reporting to the Manager, International Accounting, this role partners closely with FP&A, Tax, Consolidations, Global Revenue and Inventory Accounting, local accounting teams, and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across all international operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of accounting experience; Big 4 public accounting is strongly preferred.
  • BA or BS degree in Accounting.
  • CPA track is strongly preferred.
  • Foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP; exposure to IFRS is preferred.
  • Experience supporting month-end close and preparing account reconciliations.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow within the revenue accounting function.

Responsibilities

  • Support the daily, weekly, and monthly US GAAP accounting tasks for the foreign acquisition, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support the month-end close process, including reviewing account reconciliations, posting adjusting journal entries, consolidating into the Hims & Hers’ instance of NetSuite and completing assigned responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support team work products with attention to detail, identifying and correcting errors while working with the Manager, International Accounting to enhance processes that improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support the review of intercompany transactions and eliminations across subsidiaries.
  • Where required, assist the Australian-based account team with preparation of statutory financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Support accounting documentation, policies, and internal controls.
  • Support assigned Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act of 2002 key controls and ensure performance with no deficiencies.
  • Support due diligence and integration for new market launches and expansions.
  • Support process improvements and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate delivery of requests and projects.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for relevant accounting matters, ensuring clear communication and issue escalation as needed.
