About The Position

Assists in day to day, month-end, and year-end accounting and financial reporting functions. Assists with the preparation of financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and other general ledger accounting entries as assigned. Associate Accountants typically work under the supervision of a senior accountant or accounting manager and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (AA/ AS) with accounting emphasis required or High School Diploma/GED and:Four (4) years related accounting experience required, including experience with month-end close processes, budgeting support, and audit preparation.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software are essential for success in this role.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Good organizational and documentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of audit processes and tax compliance requirements.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.

  • Possible Bilingual Differentials: Up to 7.5% for qualifying direct-service roles; up to $80.00/month flat fee for qualifying non-direct service roles.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, analyzes and reconciles general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares and maintains asset liability and other financial transaction records.
  • Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries.
  • Establishes tables of accounts, and assigns entries to proper accounts.
  • Analyzes and prepares periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Compiles, codes, categorizes, calculates, tabulates, audits, verifies, and/or processes information or data.
  • Generates reports and responds to inquiries utilizing finance systems.
  • Structures or classifies multiple pieces of information and presents information appropriately for variety of audiences.
  • Actively participates in and develops organization and process improvements.
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned, to support department and business needs.
