About The Position
Exemplis is seeking an Accountant I to record and report financial transactions, prepare journal entries and account reconciliations, and analyze balances and transactions. The role offers an opportunity to build an accounting foundation in a fast-paced, build-to-order manufacturing environment. Recent college graduates are welcome. Work authorization sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates who require it. This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Understanding of GAAP.
- Time management skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and processes.
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience in public accounting, manufacturing, or e-commerce.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and/or AX.
- CPA certification.
- Proficiency in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Prepare general journal entries and ensure transactions are posted accurately and on time.
- Prepare intercompany journal entries between two companies.
- Support the month-end close process, including variance and trend analysis.
- Identify and resolve variances in account reconciliations.
- Prepare cash reports and reconcile daily banking activity and bank accounts.
- Prepare bank wires or ACH payments as needed.
- Assist with audit schedules and other requirements for external financial, tax, and physical inventory audits.
- Perform special projects as needed.
