About The Position
HomeTown Pharmacy is seeking a detail-oriented, financially minded Accountant I who is comfortable discussing financial statements with people at all levels of the organization. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, the role requires confidentiality, professionalism, and flexibility while supporting HTP’s Management Team and mission. This is a fully on-site, in-person position in New Era, Michigan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or another related business degree.
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
- Organization and exceptional communication skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, bi-weekly payroll, sales reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Work effectively in a fast-moving environment while following established policies and procedures.
- Assist with special projects and planning with the Supervisor when needed.
- Stay current on industry rules, trends, and new technology to support compliance and efficiency.
- Keep the workspace clean, organized, and running smoothly.
