About The Position

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant I/II, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tennessee. The Accountant I/II will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for the BNH accounting functions supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts at Arnold Engineering Development Complex. The successful candidate will be a part of the team responsible for maintaining accounting and financial records for BNH. The job includes working with the General Ledger team to reconcile accounts, identify and analyze data, and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of and experience related to general accounting functions
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and principles
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong excel skills (Pivot table, VLOOKUPS/XLOOKUPS)
  • Costpoint experience
  • PeopleSoft Financials experience
  • The ability to communicate clearly with a large and diverse workforce
  • Grade 06: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration. In lieu of degree 4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Grade 07 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration and at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience. In lieu of degree 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain varied accounting and/or financial records
  • Ensure established controls are followed and transactions are processed as directed
  • Prepare, review, and interpret all types of accounts and records of financial transactions
  • Analyze accounting or financial data
  • Prepare routine working papers, schedule, exhibits, and summaries
  • Reconcile accounts
  • Examine a variety of recording and reporting documents and summaries to verify accuracy and conformance with specific functional, corporate, contract, government or professional accounting requirements
  • Perform other duties as required.
