The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is seeking an experienced Accountant Administrator 5 to serve as the Financial Services Administrator within the Office of Management and Finance. This position serves as the Section Head of the Financial Services Section and plays a critical role in financial decision-making, cash management, disbursements, financial reporting, and audit coordination for one of the largest state agencies in Louisiana. This position oversees major financial activities involving approximately $3 billion in capital and operating expenditures and provides functional authority over accounting operations across DOTD’s districts and sections statewide. The selected candidate will advise executive leadership on fiscal policies, financial initiatives, reporting requirements, and matters impacting the department’s financial operations. This role is ideal for a financial professional who thrives in a high-level, compliance-driven environment and is comfortable leading staff, managing complex financial operations, and providing guidance on matters that impact statewide transportation programs.
